Week 2 of Maintenance!

A wee blip this week saw me up 1.5lbs. If I am being honest it should have been more. I know I can be more relaxed about things now I have reached goal, but I am beginning to worry about slipping back into old habits. I could make a million excuses for why I ate so badly last week but at the end of the day none of them really matter. They can be as valid

Making good progress




I was hoping to have had a little bit more time for training but work is so busy I have ben getting home so late. Despite this I am still quite pleased with my progress. I have been for a run once a week for the past 3 weeks. The first week I managed 3.76km in 25mins - and I had to stop to walk more than once. Last week I did get up to 4.93k in 33mins, again stopping to walk more than once. This week was the best yet, 6.5km in 40mins and I managed to run the whole time. First Week of Maintenance!!

Life can be overwhelming sometimes and it can be hard to keep your head in the gain when dealing with things. I was on a high last week after reaching my goal weight and while a certain amount of happiness stayed with me for the week - life most certainly got in the way. To start off I am having a hard time at work right now. I won't go into details but things have just not been going my way and it seems to be bad news followed by bad news - stress levels in the office are running high with everyone which isn't helping things either. Carrot and Butternut Squash Soup

I have had a SHOCKING week - it has really been that bad and I am dreading my weigh in tomorrow. First week on maintenance has been an absolute disaster, but I will save the details of that for a later post. To try and get me back on track I am here to post about the soup I have made but hardly touched because of all the rubbish food I have been eating. I don't know why I haven't eaten it because it is delicious.

Weigh In 7 - GOAL!!


I GOT TO GOAL!!! This week I lost a surprising 1.5lbs which brings me down to 10stone 7lbs. It may not be my original goal, but this is where I am happy. I have been talking about this a lot over the last few weeks so I think you all know where I stand.

Training Begins


I did it, I actually signed up for the Great Ireland Run in April. I had been putting off signing up for some reason. I have done 10k runs before but there was something about this one. So I bit the bullet and signed up, once my name is down there is no backing out. A big group of my friends have signed up too and that may have been what was stopping me signing up - the fear of coming last. Weigh in 6

Not a good week for me. All was going swimmingly until sunday and it was my cousins baby shower. My big mistake that day was tasting the chocolate biscuit cake and victoria sponge - and then went back for seconds, and thirds and then I lost count a little. Probably would have been fine if I had stopped there but of course I didn't By the time I got home and realised that there was no food in the house for dinner it was too late to go shopping, and my OH arrived home late from a weekend away so we got a chinese takeaway.
